In the May 14, 2012 issue of the Tampa Bay Times there was an article addressing the enrollment struggles that Catholic Schools across the nation are facing. This article highlights some of the changes the Diocese of St. Petersburg is making to help our schools not only maintain their enrollment numbers but grow despite the current trends. Sacred Heart Interparochial School looks to benefit from the diocesan changes as well as the upcoming partnership with University of Notre Dame as a Notre Dame ACE Academy. NOTE OF CLARIFICATION: "The similarity of school

names in the May 14 article "Change for Catholic Schools" has created some

confusion for readers. We wish to clarify that there are two schools named

"Sacred Heart." Sacred Heart Academy is in Tampa and is closing after the

current school year. Sacred Heart Interparochial School in Pinellas Park,

however, has entered a long-term partnership with the University of Notre

Dame's ACE Academies initiative and is actively seeking to grow enrollment."
